is it important to always eat only healthy foods when dieting?

I eat vegtables and fruits a lot when dieting but I also eat my fair share of icecream, cake, cupcakes, pizza and fastfood. I just balance the calories so most of my calories are healthy food and a few hundred per week are unhealthy food/fast food. Is it ok to eat white bread if you hate wheat bread and to drink soda once or twice a day? Im not a person in favor of giving those up completely if im healthy 80% of the time.

If you’re eating healthy foods, it’s always better than nothing. Try finding some healthy desserts, or ones that include fruit instead of just butter and sugar. (Peaches and cream, or yogurt with berries, yum!). Try to eat complex carbs (yes, wheat bread) but i know they make wheat bread that tastes like white, could try that. And soda, all I’m saying is I never felt better than after I stopped drinking soda. I know it’s good, but it’s bubbly sugar water. Our bodies have no idea what to do with it.
Good for you for dieting, good luck!
you might lose weight more quickly just eating healthy foods but people have lost weight on fast food diets too.
there was a recent article about a guy losing weight on a pizza diet.
and a movie called Fathead where a guy just eats fast foods and loses weight.
i was on a diet and didn’t give up junk either.
