I’ve heard so many things on processed foods and how they make your body work harder in processing them, which makes dieting so much harder. However I am unable to find information on the internet about this. Does anyone know of any “reliable” sites that explain why processed foods are or aren’t good for the body’s metabolism?

processed foods have too much preservatives that is bad for diet.
Not if used in conjunction with a buttplug.
processed foods can be ok. just look at the nutrition facts. the only thing you need to worry about is about much fat it has (if its the good fat) and how many total calories it has. also, if it has a lot of sugar. as long as you check these, you should be fine.
“Processed foods” are usually void of naturally occuring vitamins and minerals that are present in whole foods. Processed foods may have nutrients in them, but are often added to make-up for the loss during processing.
High sodium (salt) content, increased fat (especially the super-bad TRANS fat) and cholesterol — coupled with decreased fiber and protein will put a hault to any “good-intentions” diet.
Processed foods that claim no or low fat usually use high calorie products to make it taste better…Healthy fat is a substance your body requires to function. TRANS fat is a man-made fat that has been proven to clog arteries and increase your risk for heart disease. Think your safe from TRANS fat? Look at McDonald’s nutritional info on their website for all of their food items, excluding sauces, dips & ketchup: approximately 66% of their food menu contains TRANS fat in some amount. And their entire menu, except an english muffin, apples and caramel sauce, contains saturated fat. Oh my!
When dieting, you have to watch a number of factors in your diet: calories, fat (all kinds), cholesterol, sodium, fiber and protein. When you add processed foods to your diet, you’ll see the healthy amount decrease and the unhealthy increase. Your best bet for overall health is to avoid the processed junk.
